“That’s a tail end.”

I don’t feature any kind of “Quote of the Day” here at the blog(although I should), however this one I just couldn’t pass up. It was just something simple that a co-worker said after hearing the last part of a conversation that I was having. My conversation ended with something like (quoted loosely) “I should know, I’m married to a woman and I’m a woman.”
“That’s a tail end.”
He wasn’t eavesdropping or being sneaky(trying to listen) but had happened past at the right(or wrong) moment. At first we kinda laughed, because of the situation, then I realized just how unique, what he said, had been. It was kinda like all the things you say when you walk into the wrong conversation, at the wrong time all wrapped into a short simple statement. And I liked it. So I’m sharing it.
