My name is Elijah. Chances are you already knew that and that’s why you are here. Or you may have read the little about section up top there. And now because you’ve seen my name again, I’m fairly confident that you should be able to spell it with some degree of accuracy. This however was not the case a few days ago, just before I departed to Hawaii…
As a long time fan of Synthetic Corp. and their collection of fine apps, I was pleased to see an update for IncrediBooth today. Incredibooth is a photobooth style app for the iPhone and iPad that creates strips of 4-photos taken in sequence every 1-2 seconds. Now instead of going to the mall and squishing into a tiny booth, you can enjoy all that fun at home at a much less cost. It’s been a long while since we’ve seen anything new for this app and I thought that SC had given up on it entirely. They did not however and with today’s update we get a whole bunch of new stuff. The most important being the new booths that are available. There are three new booths available at $.99 a piece, each with it’s own unique set of three lenses. Below are some example strips I’ve taken with each of the booths available.

My son and I both really enjoyed creating these strips. While we don’t have accurate and even lighting in all the pictures and we mostly just look goofy, this should give you an idea of what the new booths can offer.
A quick side note: I’ve emailed SC with inquires as to if they will be including a bulk export and an AirPrint option soon. These options would make it much easier to print and manage the strips I’ve created. I’ll keep you posted it I hear anything!
In my family, I’m the techie… the nerd… the “hey I’ve got a problem with my computer that I can’t figure out, but your good at computers so how do I fix it” guy. My brother on the other hand… isn’t. Any time he’s got a computer question, or a problem, or a concern he picks up the phone and calls. That’s not to say that he’s computer illiterate, it’s just that I’m more literate that he is. Also as a side note, I’m a Mac and he’s a PC, so often times I just google the answer that he’s looking for and often it seems to work.
However, the last time when he called me with an issue, it was about something that I’m all too familiar with. He had a problem with his iPad. Now before we get to far ahead of ourselves, it’s not exactly what you think… It was actually stolen from his car while he was bowling late into the evening.

My daughter started preschool this year. She enjoys it and looks forward to the days that she can attend. She talks about all the fun things that she learns and constantly sings the cute little songs that she recites daily in class. She talks about all her little friends that she is making and for the most part enjoys preschool very, very much. However over the course of the previous couple months I’ve come to realize that preschool is more than just a place for my child to get primed for attending a much larger school while learning to share and cooperate in a group style atmosphere. And while these things are good and important for her development, preschool isn’t just for our children…

I often spend countless hours cruising the tubes of the intergoogles, many times only finding things that give me the impression that our poor human race continues on its constant decline of intelligence.
